BuzzMe starts to connect to the Portal and fails - my GPRS/EDGE/3G connection does not work?

On many phones, java applications need to be given permission to access the Internet. The phone may prompt the user everytime BuzzMe atempts to access the Internet or may restrict access completely. If there are connection errors while registering, this is usually the case. Alternatively, some operators limit certain types of traffic on certain GPRS access points, called an APN. BuzzMe requires Internet connectivity to http://www.buzzme.helpfulmobile.com, however the APN access is completely dependant on your mobile operators GPRS implimentation.

GPRS/EDGE/3G connection settings are provided by your network operator, GPRS/EDGE/3G is paid for data service provided by your network operator and you must subscribe to that service in order to make use of smsBug. It is important to note that GPRS GPRS/EDGE/3Gcost are generally charged on monetary value per Kb or Mb and vary per network.

Is my cell phone compatible with BuzzME MIDlet?

Just try to download and start. You will see an error message if something is wrong. Otherwise, you should be OK.
Your mobile phone must be:

• Java enabled: J2ME MIDP
• configured for WAP
• configured also for Internet access. If you are using GPRS, some carriers require a GPRS access point (APN) different from the WAP access point . For instructions, visit your operator's web site or refer to the following list of Internet APNs.

What does it cost?

Your mobile carrier will charge you for the GRPS/UMTS traffic for downloading the BuzzMe application . Additionally also for transmitting messages over GPRS/UMTS.
Typically, messaging is very low-cost compared to SMS, MMS, but please check the mobile data fees which apply to your carrier subscription plan. A certain amount of montly traffic might be included in your subscription fee.

I've downloaded BuzzMe. But I can't find it. Why?

BuzzMe is something called a Java Application, like many games. Some phones put this in the Games sub-menu. Others will have dedicated areas: Nokia "Collection", Sony "Applications" etc. Hunt around, you will find BuzzMe seomwhere!

How do I know I've received a BuzzMe?

When someone sends you a BuzzMe SMS, you'll get a 'missed call' notification from the sender number. The sender must make manually a ordinary ping call (an alert) to you - announcing you in this way. Thus you knows that a new SMS from the sender is waiting and can be directly picked up when opening your BuzzMe apps.
